Word searches can help improve a childs letter and word recognition. It can aid in increasing vocabulary and adding variety in a classroom is always a good idea. Whether you are a teacher looking for ways to help your students or a grown up who simply loves to play with language, word games provide entertainment and learning all rolled into one package. Print a few master copies and have them on hand right when you need them.
Each of the activities will open in their own window. They have been formatted so that every computer will be able to print them with ease.
Look for the answer key on the last page. Since you will most likely only need one answer key, print the entire file asking your printer for only one copy. Then you can go back and print as many copies of just the game pages as needed.

Just to warm up your brain for the word games, here is one. There are two common words in the English language that end in "-shion". Can you think what they are? Roll your mouse over the question mark for the answers. The third word in English that is not so common is hushion, which is a footless stocking. |
