Summary: Make a Simple White Cake is a game where the future bride has to make a cake from scratch, WITHOUT using a recipe.
Ages: All ages as this is a non-competitive game.
Recommended Number of Players/Teams:
The Bride does the cooking, the rest of the crowd gets to watch, then EAT the cake when it is done cooking.
Large mixing bowl
Container of Flour, Sugar, Baking Soda, Baking Powder, Vanilla, Water, Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Salt, Cream of Tartar, Cubes of Butter, Shortening, Vegetable Oil, Carton of Eggs, and a Carton of Milk
Set a table up in the front of the room. Have all the equipment and ingredients placed on the table.
How to Play:
At the very beginning of the party, give the bride an apron to wear. Tell her she is making the dessert for the guests at her party. She needs to make a simple white cake, without using a recipe. Have her work at the table with the ingredients. The crowd may not help her. When the batter is done, pour it in the cake pan and ask her what temperature to cook it on and for what length of time. Then put the cake in the oven while the rest of the party continues.
When the timer goes off, remove from oven and serve to guest. It is best to also have a "back up" dessert available, just in case...

We only played the Christmas ABC game tonight, but it was fun and funny! I have 3 more games and quizzes that I will take to my parents' house on Saturday. Thanks again!!
