Light as a Feather

Summary: Light as a Feather is an activity where the girls try to lift a friend using only their fingers.

Ages: From 10 to 18

Recommended Number of Players: Between 4 and 8

Set Up:
No prior set-up required

How to Play:
A player is chosen to be the Board. The Board lays on the ground face up and tries to remain perfectly stiff. Each of the other players gather around the Board. Some take mid-calf, one on each side, two take mid back/chest, one on each side, and one person sits behind the head.

Each player extends the first two fingers on each hand and slips them underneath the Board. All players close their eyes. They all start to repeat "Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board. Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board. Light as a feather, Stiff as a board" over and over while trying to lift the the Board, without losing their concentration. Usually this works! Try not to distract the Board or else the balance will be lost and the player may get dropped.
